What Wrong With This Dating Profile?

You sure can get a bit or a lot of surface information about someone by what they write on their dating profile page. After all men are notorious for telling women what they want to hear. Women can see further than that nowadays.

This is why it still takes time to get to know someone well before dating exclusive or getting intimate. The profiles used below are real dating profiles. We should be thinking in the back of our heads, what am I really looking for? After  you figure this out, decipher the information you read in dating profiles to make your decision to run or proceed further. 

The types of pictures are also an indication of some ones personality. Is the person  a show off or really trying to portray who they are and what they are seeking?  I am going to assume the first profile here is certainly someone who wants to get noticed above and beyond his date.

 The First Profile

This first profile seems to like to compare himself a lot to others. Must be competitive and perhaps insecure as he needs a lot of affirmation that he has a job, looks a certain way guaranteed and wants to make dating like some kind of event with rules and regulations.

 Here goes… 

Executive summary: Smart, Funny, Devilishly Handsome and Sarcastic SOB with a JOB; Seeks fun, friendship and a partner in crime!  (Lots of guys have jobs, and what if they don’t. Is it such a crime? 

Single dad of awesome boys. They are my #1 priority, and the best thing I have done in this life! ( Of course they are, but what about your exwife, was she as important? Maybe not as I see you are now divorced.) What about me? Will I ever get to be on that grand stand too as an equal partner?)

I am NOT just looking to hook up, thanks I can troll the clubs for that, I am looking for a true friendship and much more! (Yeah right. Why even mention it? Your so adamant about it cause it’s what you think girls want to hear, but we know better.)

I do two things for a living: Travel the world to tell big companies how to stay out of trouble, and photography. The first one covers the bills, the second covers the walls! (No mention of how enriching my work is so look like its just work.)

I love dance (house) music, my two left feet just can't wait to hit the dance floor! (Okay I got it, the exclamation point is telling me your ramming this down my throat- ughhh)

I am a sarcastic SOB, confident & stubborn sometimes but I make my woman feel like she's the last one on Earth & I expect the same from her. Very into PDA and loyalty, I'm just the right mix of bad boy (to keep you on your toes) and a good heart (to make you melt)! (So basically your telling me that you can be an idiot and I am supposed to take it while you make it all up to me by being sweet and nice. Gee how many rotations of this crap do I got to get through to get kissy face, nice nice. Yuck!!)

No jealousy, no games and no drama please...but you will need to have a bit of crazy in ya to keep me interested! ;)  I think this guy likes drama and is a drama feeder. So I gotta be a psycho bi*** to get some affection.

Want more? Just ask! But don't be surprised when I tease you about it!! I am not looking for  tease I am looking for a relationship. What more what? Drama?

P.S. My age is correct, my body type is correct, my profile describes me to a tee and you will immediately recognize me from my pictures (not wonder why some other creepy old fat guy showed up instead). I rock at Photoshop, but that would defeat the purpose here...right? ( All I care about is how I appear to you- I am so insecure that I have to tell you I am me. What wrong with being overweight? Look at Mike and Molly? They are in love.)

The Second Profile. 

I have moved on to greener and possible brighter pastures. This guy has  chance. He seems open to new interests, has them and likes to share. He probably is generous with his feelings and open and honest with females. He admits he likes to shop and does not rant and rave about diving off cliffs and praising  about the way he looks.

 About Me~ I work in the IT field so I love technology, gadgets, etc.(Can you fix my computer? YEAh!!- I love this guy already)

I stay active mountain biking, hiking, and snowboarding. I've lived in San Diego county my whole life, never had a reason to leave yet. I enjoy comedy clubs, any kind of art, aquariums, movies, campfires at the desert, long drives anywhere, shopping but not at Malls so much, I'm more of the treasure hunter type, you'll find me at a Ross, Marshalls or outlet stores,.(Hmm I  dig this shopping thing- cool)  At least he has some diverse outside interests. He’s active, and maybe have a six pack.  Looking to leave San Diego? Look north my man and come to Newport and sail away to the alter?

I'm pretty spontaneous, if we think of something to do, let's roll with it! Who needs reservations anyway! :O) I love trying new restaurants from pretty much any type of cuisine or stay at home and make a tasty dish, I'm not a chef but I feel I've got some quality taste for preparing food, I think you'll agree.(Wow he cooks, very cool)  

I feel I'm a pretty normal guy with a lot of love to give to the right person. I'm easy going with lot's of patience, remember I work in the IT field where people still have issues with mice and that pesky num lock button and I know when I'm really in trouble when I ask them to reboot and they ask me, the bottom one or the top one, OMG, lol!  (Hamm, not convinced here yet, but I will certainly see if he can solve other issues too.)

Music, Love all the 80's Rock and Alternative. Movies. The Notebook, Star Trek (2009), It's a Wonderful Life are my faves.  (Hmm , not sure about these movies, but on our first date I will ask for a longer list-)

Would love to find a partner to share all of activities with for a long time. The ideal person that I'm looking for would be between average and fit for body type and right around my height, able to do a lill mountain biking, do some light hiking and consider trying to snowboard or ski.(Ok no one past 10 lbs overweight need apply- At least he was subtle  about it.) Your ability to do those things doesn't really matter much to me I just think it would be great to do those things together. I feel I'm a really great guy I'm just hoping someone will give me that chance to prove it. (Having me try new things with this guy is important- I wonder if he’s open to trying things I like too?)
